Pirates attacked Super Shuttle Roro 9 vessel and kidnapped four crew members, near Sibago island, off Philippines, on March 23.
In particular, motor skiffs crossed the route of the vessel, that was on its way to General Santos, from Philippines, and managed to board it. The armed men took four people as hostages, including the Master and Chief Engineer, and run away on their skiffs.
Then, the 11,400 dwt cargo vessel headed to the nearest port of Zamboanga, where it reported the incident to the port authorities. The rest of the crew is not harmed.
There is not further information yet, as the causes of the incident are under investigation.
